Cascais is a coastal  town next to Lisbon in Portugal. This destination has made many efforts to reduce CO2 emissions by more than 20% by 2020. As a consequence, they promote the use of soft mobility, offering free bicycles rentals at various points around the town. Cascais also gives a great attention to environmental education by offering tours informing about the local cultural, natural and historical heritage at the Eco park of Pisao and by providing education and information about the rich coastal biodiversity of the area at the Environmental Interpretation Center of Pedra do Sal (CIAPS), the first “Zero Energy building” in Portugal.
